The Bellavista Hotel

The day before we arrived we received an email saying the pool was out of commission for maintenance, they would have known this for a long time and decided to keep it from us so it was too late to cancel. The pool is why we booked here and is its only saving grace, they didn't give any discount or upgrade, or any acknowledgement. The hotel is very rundown and the rooms were poor, the service even worse, they dont clean or make up the beds, towels etc. Breakfast was basic but fine.

Rooms stink like sewer with cockroaches crawling out of drains, rats in roof, sewers overflow in bathrooms with high volume use from other rooms in mornings. Smoke detectors covered with sticky tape so good luck if there is a fire! People working outside your window looking in. Thermostat on AC doesn’t work so freezing cold or boiling hot. Staff friendly. Must pay full amount on arrival with no refund if wanting to exit an unsafe death trap.

A nice hotel , nice room , great pool , great restaurant , fairly priced , close to the airport with a free shuttle service ,BUT our 4 yr old daughter was sick in the night and one of the bed sheets obviously had sick on , hotel charge us for having to clean the sheet ! I thought all bed linen was automatically washed after guest vacated the room , maybe not ? Therefore I can only give a 3 stars
