This place has a good location, you can access the Mango street nightlife, restaurants and ATMs in a less than 5 min walk. The rooms are basic but adequate at a very good price for travellers. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Western ("Best Corned Beef in all of Cebu") and Philippines cuisine restaurant is attached with bar. Security staff always present. There is laundry next door with rush service available. You will see homeless and street urchins up the block toward Mango Street (not out front) , as as it is by a church.Despite other reviews, I saw no evidence of "dirty old men" whatsoever. Mostly well to do locals using this place.

I booked here at The Beverly Hotel for my one night stay in Cebu because: 1) It is near to the office where I will visit and to the downtown part of Cebu which is good since I could go to different establishments/ locations by foot (actually that's a plus knowing that the traffic in Cebu is rampant you would want to travel by foot). It's only five blocks away from Redemptorist Church (note: I highly recommend you visit the church. You'll never know what you'll missed out) and from Mango Avenue (Nightlife? Yes! Haha) 2) With its low rates, caring staff and delicious complimentary breakfast, I think this could be my second home during Cebu city trips. Also, they serve welcome drinks for new guests! Pros: * Bed is comfy enough (not that sturdy foam feeling) * Toilet flush is good, there's a hot and cold shower. * Good wifi connection * Has a huge cabinet and cloth hangers for our clothes' safe keeping (a must for official business trips) * Plus: you can choose your complimentary breakfast based on the available choices they have at the time (take note that the coffee they served is brewed so I suggest you take the brewed coffee for your breakfast. Cons: * Bad odor coming from the toilet bowl whenever I flush it * Window blinds - Faux Wood Blind (it's like I'm being seen from outside - you can see this on the photos I will share here). *Payment- the room is booked only upon prepayment which was unusual for me since I got used to paying the room upon check out. Good thing I have cash with me. All in all, it's a good stay even for families with kids and especially to business travelers like me. PS. Will attach the room rates here (as of Nov 2018) and the snapshots of the standard room I booked for your reference. Take a look!

We stayed at the property for 1night. Booked their Standard Room. Pros: 1. The property is quietly located at the back of Fooda Mango. 2. Staff were accommodating. Will welcome you warmly and provide complimentary welcome drink. 3. 24hrs restaurant that offers delicious bites, though pricey, but worth it. 4. Their check-in and check-out was fast. 5. Accessible to public transportation. 6. Strong wifi connection. 7. Fairly-priced accommodation. Cons: 1. Place is a bit old and run down. 2. Towels and linens need to be changed as the fabric tends to fall out. That's so far, nonetheless it was a nice stay overall.
