We just arrived today & we noticed the same conditions about door locksets & accessibility.
The door hardwares/knobs & locks to the washrooms are so difficult to work.
In our one room, the powder room lock doesn't have the pin anymore, so you can't lock the door. Even if there's a pin (like in other rooms), it's still not easy to operate the lock. Why can't they just use the typical heavy duty locksets which look the same (if they need to go with that look/aesthetic). And this is just in normal use, not even talking about in case of emergency!
In the washroom in the bedroom, the lock is so hard to operate! You can't just turn the latch and lock the door. (And the locksets don't even match!)
And why should the closet be a walk-through from the living room to the main washroom? So even if you manage to lock the washroom door, someone could still go to the washroom through the closet? (weird, & counter-intuitive!) There's a small bolt in the closet door from inside the washroom, but again, that is so hard to latch also. It takes an effort & know-how to lift & align the door panels to make the latch work.
I believe JPark seriously needs a door hardware & accessibility reassessment. (Not even looking at safety & emergency egress conditions at this point)
These things are so basic, i wonder how other guests just ignore these facts, after paying for a 5-star luxury resort.
