Hotel Tropika

During my stay, the staff were friendly and accommodating. My main concern was that noise from outside was very audible from the room, which affected the overall comfort of my stay. The pool also appeared to be not very well maintained, as there were quite a lot of leaves and flowers floating in the water. Additionally, it was my birthday during my stay. I had mentioned this during the booking process and also requested an early check-in. I completely understand that early check-in is subject to availability, and I accepted that the request could not be accommodated. However, I was a little disappointed by the response from the manager. Even a simple acknowledgment such as "Happy Birthday" or a brief apology for not being able to grant the request would have gone a long way. Having worked in customer service for over 10 years, I believe that hospitality is about creating memorable guest experiences through thoughtful and personalized interactions. While I wasn't expecting special treatment, a small gesture of recognition would have made me feel valued as a guest, especially on a special occasion. Unfortunately, this aspect of the experience felt lacking.

Room so spacious and the pool is clean and staff is so nice and friendly.

Our experience in the hotel is very good. Excellent customer service and friendly staffs. We will refer this to our friends who will look for accommodation in Davao and will book again definitely if there will be a chance to go back there.
