Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel

We were able to talk to the owner - Min Ponce Millan. Her vision of an art hotel 20 years ago is commendable. She's blessed to have a son who did all the art work. We liked the character of the hotel. It offsets the budget feel.

We went here with several colleagues for a long stay. Our room looks really old but clean enough. The linens and towels look old. The TV is CRT old. They have cabients for your clothes and the airconditioning is also old but working. Our room has two three single beds placed very near each other. The toilet has small slices of soap that looked more like a candy than a soap. They dont have anything else. The hot shower according to the sign is water pressure controlled. If you turn up pressure you get cold water but even with really low pressure, the water wasnt hot at all. The electrical outlet were oddly placed beside the bed rather than the tables. The cafe was so small but offers plenty of choices. They cook good food but the place really looks outdated. The artworks decorating the hotel were so many that the place looks very dark. No question that the owner loved art and is quite a prolific artist and a very good one but i think that the place was overly decorated. The staff were not as friendly as i have expected from a hotel. Location was really nice and very near convenient shops like stores, fastfood, laundry and a mall.

the location is good, just a few minutes walk to malls and restaurants. room are clean and spacious. inside hotel hanged many artworks, hallways and reception areas are dimly lighted. no elevator. strong wifi connection even inside the room. no free drinking water available. shower has no hot water and its floor drain is clogged, it could take a while for the water to flow down the drain. tv channels has poor connection and very limited channels available.
