Island’s Leisure Hotel Dumaguete

Well how can I start! On the outlook I was shocked how lovely everything looked. Went to check in and it seamed only one person was bothered to do anything. Went to the room which smelt of toilet freshener so much it gave me a headache! Sadly no windows to open. My safe had no battery’s and wires sticking out, no stress as they gave me a key. Room was dated and strange, with a strange tall table in there and kitchen sink. Ok... move on. No hot water, just tank water for the price I would of expected better. Turned the tap on and the sink fell off the wall as it was rotten, which ran throughout the hotel. 10 years ago this hotel would of been amazing but the owners need shooting or investment. As it’s a little out of town, it’s sometimes hard getting back on the bikes. So overall if you like a fake spa, rotten hotel that dining room is never open and want to walk miles or wait ages for a bike this hotel is for you. My advice save your money and stay in town by the port, better value, more things going on, easy to island hope.

The hotel is has one of the beautifully and uniquely curated decorations and trimmings accommodation that i've been to. Unfortunately, it's the only thing that i consider good in this place. The room is dirty and dusty. The staff just do not care about their guests. We booked for 3 persons with additional bed. However, when we checked in, the additional bed was not set yet. Worse, when we asked for it, the staff just dump it in the room and not even bother to set it. The water heater for coffee was busted. We had to bring it down for replacement. Their staff, although not rude, was not accommodating either. They lounge in the front desk like they are guests. We actually thought that the people staying near were guests also, until they started doing their tasks. If you are all for Instagram photos, you'll find it here. But the beauty of this place is just about that.

Looks like haunted house . Mosquitoes , cockroaches all over . Dirty washrooms, poor internet , half of the appliances in room doesn't work . Not recommended .No customer service , foul smell . It's new name is WoW hotel but no wow experience .
