My family and I stayed here while visiting/traveling in the Puerto Galera area. Is it the most modern, up-to-date establishment on Mindoro? No. But it was clean, quiet, right on the beach, with good food and easy ways to get to the Puerto Galera/White Beach/ Batangas Ferry area.
Out cabin was on the beach, and the porch was a beautiful place to eat an early morning breakfast. We could watch the fishermen working out on the water each morning. Michael, the owner, was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and he and his staff were one of the factors that added to the stay there. He helped us arrange transportation, drew us a map of local landmarks and attractions, and suggested where we could exchange USD for local currency. The pool was clean, and our kids enjoyed it greatly.
The restaurant at Oceana is not fancy, but prepared good local dishes, and would happily prepare your food from the market if you brought it to them, and would cook local foods if you talked to them ahead of time about what you might like. The pizza was also pretty good. There was a political rally held there for the soon to come election, but it didn't create any problems for us.
I would be happy to stay there again next time we are on Mindoro.

Attended a training on this place. The reception was so messy, the floor is dirty, and supplies are everywhere. Stains in the bathroom was all over the walls and the water smelled rusty. I was wondering why their rooms price higher than a 3 star hotel when it needs total renovation. Their beachfront cost 4500 and was good for 5 but still not worth it. It has a double size bed, 1double deck and a single bed which was so small. The aircon was so noisy and somehow doesnt get cold. The bathroom needs total renovation.

came here thorugh the muelle port. the place is good enough if you want to visit puerto galera. it has a small clean pool which the kids may enjoy. the place is quiet and near the beach. not a fine sand though so it's a little hard to swim in this area. you can do other activities instead, like kayaking. the place is a bit far from sabang beach and a lot farther from white beach, where the party goes. there are tricycles that can take you to the white beach, if you want, but it's a little bit expensive (around P500 for a round trip). rooms are clean but they never replace towels. functioning aircon, bathrooms are okay but don't expect a hotel-like look. they have a restaurant but there are no available food. you have to tell them in advance if you're going to eat there so they could prepare your food. breakfast, very simple, so i think it's a bit expensive. no coffee or choco. their pizza is good, though. there's a good cafeteria near the area, just walk on the way out to sabang. the place is understaff. nobody mans the information. staff go home in the evening and return in the morning, which is why it will take a while before you can have your breakfast. you can't easily find them also. the korean owner, michael, is nice and very accommodating. you can address him all your concerns.
