La Belle Pension

If you're in a pinch, La Belle has inexpensive, basic and clean rooms as your jump-off point to your travel in Palawan. The place is tucked in a quiet street a block away from the main road and has a small pool for guests.

A good walking distance of atleast 100 meters in an unpaved road. No decent fastfood, restaurant nearby. Do not believe theyll pick you up at the airport, at the last minute they cancelled it and advised us to take taxi ourselves. Laslty, upon arrival, they make drastic room arrangement that would let you transfer room everyday. However, staff was polite at all times. Sadly wont recommend this place for now.

Good things: reasonable prices, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, a swimming pool, good breakfast, convenient location, usually quiet except for weekends when the neighboring facility is used by church for their loud sermons and choir singing. Needs improvement: - No wi-fi. You get connected to their router but not to the internet. In majority of rooms local GSM signal gets blocked so even if you have your own inteenet you can forget it about it. - Restaurant opens at it pleases. On quiet days in low season they are open for breakfast only. - Electricity. In majority of rooms the sockets are placed in bizzare places or a socket to which a tv set is plugged in is the only one in the room. Charging your phone is a real challenge. - TV signal. I am not sure which is worse tv reception or internet.
