Phela Grande Hotel

I was pleasantly surprised at this quality offering in Gensan. The building itself is not new but is structurally robust, has enjoyable design aspects, and is aesthetically pleasing. The wifi at night had download speeds of over 40 Mbps. The room was a little small. The mattress was firm but comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. My biggest complaint is that the hot water takes a very long time to reach our shower. The included breakfast is required to be ordered the previous day and is served in the quaint coffee shop or delivered as room service. The portions were quite small but served our purpose. The hotel lacks the finish of a chain property but we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Always stay here every time I have to visit Genaral Santos. Staff are all very accommodating and helpful! Special thanks to Val and Ivy! Rooms are at standard size and acceptable for their rate. Also goes with cable, perfect for indoors stay.

*The building is old yet the service and people was the best. *Staffs were accommodating and helpful. *Hotel offers complimentary breakfast and welcome drinks. *They provide shampoo, soap, lotion, toothbrush, vanity kit, extra plastic and slippers. They also provide special request like hair dryers and hangers. Suite room has bath gel and bath tub. *The room has coffee in sachet. It has kettle, cup and glass. The suite room has refrigerator while the single room do not have fridge. Bottle water also provided. *The hotel has wifi and storage area just incase you have baggage for safekeeping. *The room is clean. I always consider this a home when I visit Gensan. I have tried other hotels in the place but they do not suit my preferences even if they have a pool. This hotel deserve a five star.
