Gromada Torun

The Hotel Gromada in Toruń Poland, is located in the old town near the Market Square and the house of Nicholas Copernicus. The location is very convenient to get around the city on foot. Breakfast varied and good, proportional to the category of hotel. Very friendly staff and clean enough environments. I rate the hotel poorly for the uncomfortable rooms especially for the old walls and in some parts peeling and the bathrooms completely to be redone. The doors to the precarious bathrooms. Old electrical system. Old and adapted furniture and the carpet left much to be desired.

I stayed at this hotel for a short visit, and overall it was fine for 1–2 nights, but there are definitely areas that could be improved. The main issues I noticed were: • The electrical sockets were loose, which felt unsafe. • The fridge made noise during the night. • There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, likely coming from the ventilation. • The mattresses had visible stains, and the room was not perfectly cleaned (some dust remained). • It was also inconvenient that a kettle and hairdryer had to be requested at the reception instead of being provided in the room. On the positive side, the location is excellent — very central and convenient. The price is reasonable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the view from the window was truly stunning. In conclusion, this hotel is acceptable for a short stay if you just need a place to sleep, but with some improvements in cleanliness, safety, and convenience, it could be much better.

We did not stay in hotel, but had dinner at the restaurant.. EXCELLENT... Both husband and I had the Zurek soup which was even better than my mother-in-law would make... and that's saying a lot!! I had chicken dinner and hubby had salmon. Both very good.
