Hotel Batory

This is a great hotel, which is around a 15 minute walk to the town square. The rooms are very clean, with a safe and air conditioning, the breakfast is excellent. We stayed at this hotel twice during our stay and on the second occasion received an upgraded room. This is well worth a visit and probably the best hotel we have stayed in during our tour of Poland.

We stayed at the Batory for five nights and couldn't fault it. Our room was perfect, very clean and it had everything we needed, tea, coffee and bottled water. It had a small table and two comfy chairs and a very spacious bathroom with a large shower. There's no bar but there's a supermarket round the corner and the Batory has an outdoor seating area, ideal if want to sit and relax with a drink and snacks! The buffet breakfast is amazing, there is so much to choose from! Meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, savouries, yoghurt, pastries, you will not go hungry! The location is also perfect just a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main square. Also Kraków Grzegórzki train station is a ten minute walk away, use this stop if you're travelling by train from the airport. You can travel to the Salt Mines from here too. Stayed at the Batory for five nights last week. It is situated in a quiet spot outside the main city centre, but a ten minute walk will get you to most places. The hotel is basic but absolutely lovely, the staff were all pleasant and helpful. They do a stunning buffet breakfast and the gorgeous, smiling staff that served it were wonderful. It was one of those hotels, where everything in the room worked for me and was positioned exactly where I like it, if that makes sense. Spotlessly clean, I would not hesitate to stay here again and probably will in the near future.
