Rezydent

I thought a lot about the review and the rating to give. The strengths are undoubtedly the central location, the convenience of the excellent restaurant below in the courtyard, and the perfect silence of the windows. From the photos, I saw beautiful rooms, but ours was on the third floor without an elevator, with a beautiful bathroom but without air conditioning and a vertical skylight window facing the street. And the sun that peeks out at 4:30 in June and wakes you up, also because it has curtains that look like band-aids. Normal room, clean, certainly not one of those seen in the photographs. Breakfast on the minus two level!!!! So, five floors to climb to return to the room. To die for. Absolutely basic breakfast, with only not-so-good pancakes as a sweet option and no pastries (as instead shown in the "photos provided by management"). Outside, there are spectacular pastry shops; avoid having breakfast in the hotel.

Arrived at 2am in the morning. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly and our bags were carried to our room. Unfortunately we didn't realise there were 2 separate buildings separated by some commercial offices. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor in the one with no lift and many stairs. The stairs proved to be a challenge due to an old injury. We did ask for a room change but there were no other available rooms. The door to the stairs is always locked and accessed by your room key. The room was very clean, basic but adequate. It had 2 comfortable single beds, small table with 2 chairs a dressing table and wardrobe with a safe. The shower room was nicer with modern fittings and large shower. There is a kettle with tea/ coffee provided (no milk) and a water dispenser is located on each level. We were in room 81 which was really Quiet. We never heard any noise from adjacent rooms or the street/ square. Location is excellent. It's on a busy street just a minute from the square and 10 minutes walk to the castle and river. Lots of food choices on the square but cheaper alternatives just minutes away. I would stay again only if I could book the main building.

Just stayed here for four nights. Room very clean, bed comfy but the pillows need renewing. Also our room was at the front of the hotel and is very noisy at night although earplugs are provided. Breakfast was good.
