Secret Garden Hostel

I picked this hostel for the area and good reviews it had. I arrived on a Sunday and my taxi did not have change to give me. I asked the hostel if they had and they did not. Then I went with the taxi driver to find an open shop that could change my 50zl. I only say that so you can be prepared with small notes. The room they gave me (no. 21) was not the one I booked. It was claustrophobic and I did not like the bed but I was too tired to say anything. The next day I told them and they gave me a much nicer room like the one I booked. The bed was too hard for my taste but it was clean, with a good shower and spacious. Have in mind that the rooms are not soundproof so if you don't want to be awakened by the hoover of the cleaner to the next room, bring your earplugs. Also note that in their site they mention they have laundry but they don't. There is a laundromat somewhere near though that you can use. At summer time it was hot and they give you a small fan since they don't have air conditioning. They were fixing the roads near the area so it's not a pleasure to walk around but you can choose to walk on the other side near the river and to the old town which is near. The breakfast is very basic, I only had it once for that reason. The staff is very polite and especially the girl who works the night shift is very helpful.

Stayed here for a few nights after new years eve, wonderful place, friendly staff, free tea and coffee, clean and high quality facilities, lovely room, definitely recommend staying here, an absolute bargain

Have just returned from 3 nights in Poland & we stayed at The Secret Garden Hostel. The hostel is approx. 20 minute walk from the main square therefore it is close but also far enough away to ensure a quiet stay. There is free teas & coffees in the kitchen which is a nice touch, and the staff were extremely helpful at all times. The room was nice & warm which was great as the weather was extremely cold. We stayed in the Clockwork Orange room which had a double bed & a small sofa with a massive bathroom and great shower. Would absolutely recommend this hostel & would definitely stay again.
