Positives - Cheap Friendly and helpful staff 15-20mins taxi to centre of Krakow Negatives - Building works that start at 7am outside the window (not the hotels fault) Thin walls, I could hear lots of kids running around. When a toilet flushed or shower was used you could hear EVERY drop going through the pipes, this went on throughout the night. The tours we booked wouldn't pick us up from our hotel because we were too far from the city. Curtains did not fit the windows so there was gaps, but they were very thin curtains anyway so it was really bright after 5-6am We ended up booking another hotel in the city half way through our trip and it was really nice, little bit more expensive but worth it for a good nights sleep and being in the city it was easier to get around

This hotel was given to us through our wowcher mystery holiday. The location was out of the city centre but easy enough to get to. We used Uber throughout the entirety of our stay each trip to and from Kraków city centre taking about 10 mins and costing about £2-£3 depending on the time of day. From the airport to the hotel it was about 25mins, we paid £8 going, and £12 coming back, which we thought was excellent value for money. We did see that there was a bus close by but to save time having to wait for buses and all the extra stops, we were happy to pay a bit more and use Uber for the convenience. Reception staff were friendly on arrival. The rooms were pretty basic but clean. Unfortunately there is no fridge or safe, and the curtains didn’t quite cover the window - wasn’t an issue for us but for those that like a dark room it might bother you. Bed was a good size and comfy, and the bathroom was in good condition. The rooms were very warm especially at night, and we found ourselves not using the duvet but just the thin blanket on top at night. The walls were very thin which meant our evenings were accompanied by our neighbour who unfortunately snored throughout the night. Breakfast was a little disappointing. For £6 a head we were expecting a decent continental breakfast, however choice was very limited so after the first morning we chose not to have it again (especially when you can get a decent cooked breakfast in town for the same price or cheaper!) We paid £6 each for a packed lunch on the day we visited Auschwitz which was quite basic but did the job. The hotel also has a gym and a pool but we didn’t actually get round to using these facilities. Overall, we felt that the hotel was okay, suited our needs and was a great budget option but next time we would probably spend a little bit more money to stay somewhere a bit more upmarket and possibly closer to city centre.
