Karczyce

the hotel is located in a small village, around 15 km from Wroclaw Airport, nice countryside, the rooms are good, but you can see many cracks on the walls, reception is friendly and helpful, breakfasts are tasty

I stayed at Hotel Karczyce for one night whilst on a business trip in southern Poland. I enjoy value and Hotel Karczyce actually exceeds that requirement. First the location, its true that its a bit out of the way but its easy to find and actually, its well worth the bother! The Hotel is located in a very small hamlet nestled in beautiful coutryside to the east of Wrocław not far off the road nr. 96. The journey there is very nice passing through a number of hamlets with historical looking buildings. The Hotel itself is quite simple but suits the surroundings. The gardens in front and back are well tendered. A was greeted at reception by a very nice lady who also prepared me some food as I had arrived after 20.00 and the kitchen was in effect closed. The room was large and very clean with two single beds, night tables, lamps and a desk with a small wall mounted TV. The bathroom was clean and the shower powerful, just as I like it! I had the windows wide open, no traffic!!! Just the beautiful sound of birdsong in the morning. It helped of course that I visited during a heatwave late May. Best sleep in a hotel in a long time.The breakfast was a slight let down - no cereal which for me is a no-no. Whilst there seemed plenty in the buffet, fried eggs, sausages, various salad items, bread coffee and tea, the display it looked a bit tired for some reason and not so appetising. (Breakfast is for me crucial!!) The bill must be paid on check in as they reception is not manned in the morning. All in all, 100 zł (less than 20 BGP) with breakfast included is phenomenal value for this quality in my opinion. The location is a bonus, unless you are looking for restaurants, night life etc. Then the target is different. If I go back to the area, I will certainly go back. Ok, and its a good stable in room wifi,maybe because not so many guests that night.
