Moon Hostel

1. Entry Obscure; no instructions given upon booking... no instructions at entry. 2. Reception Unstaffed. No bell. Long wait. 3. Kitchen Relatively Clean; real coffee & milk; corn flakes; 4. Room (with en-suite) Skimpy eg. bedside lamp chord not long enough to plug into power point (so no bedside lamp); Relatively clean bathroom but no towel rails, hooks etc I guess one puts towel on the floor (?). 5. Night noise - in a word: Relentless! I came back to the hostel around 10 pm after dinner to the following and fled to my room to lock myself in. Here’s what it was like: - a raging party / loud music up one end of hall. Some folk drifting into hall with bottles in hand. - opposite end of hall seemed to be a shared dorm with equal amount of party noise. - Hall lights flickering (off mostly, on occasionally); - groups of people standing / sitting in darkened hallway…. - People arguing in hallways / stairwell (This was going on and off til after 2am) along with doors banging. - shared bathroom facilities means light swich/fans which sound like a helicopter landing (!) I can only conclude this place is a local drinking hole for young people and a pick up joint. It’s obviously renowned as such because a security guard patrols regularly through the night to quieten things down!

Never choose that hotel cause we were kicked out in the midnight to the street!!! We arrived in the evening and got the info we have a booking in another city what was a first cheating, second one, there are no rooms at atll even we have booked one month ago! They destroyed our amazing trip mood and we stayed on the street to think what we gonna do. Its first experience in my life like that and especially they kicked an old mother out with a cold mind and no respect!!! Be careful !!!

I went to make a Reservation on their website when I was directly referred to Booking, and in the end it proved impossible. But it said very clearly that there was a 24-hour reception. When I arrived at the hostel from the airport it was twelve at night, as my flight and waiting for a taxi left later than eleven at night. When I got to the hostel, which is on a very lively street, I called, called and called back several more times, but I was never opened. I had to look for a hostel relatively close to the center. The next morning I returned to this one to request a night in the accommodation, I wonder if I had Reservation, and I said no. I told her what had happened to me the previous morning in English (I don't speak Polish), and the receptionist told me that I had a room for 200 zlotis, I told her that perfect, that if I could see her, and suddenly she told me that no, that there were no rooms anymore. I froze, and I had to keep looking for accommodation. This was on 17/09/2024 at 08:45 a.m., sincerely this lady from the reception made me a great task.
