Hilton Gdansk

I had a room facing the river - it was spectacular. I had breakfast and cocktails on the lovely patio. This was my first visit to this beautiful city and this was the perfect place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent, and the room was comfortable with a great view of the river. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but special thanks to the receptionist Emilia and Ivan the porter, who went above and beyond in helping to find my iPhone which was stolen in the street. They took the time and helped with their technical expertise to track it down and rescued our holiday.

Interesting option - good area - busy property - smallish room 1. Sleep - mattress, pillows, curtains Mattress good - bedding and pillows also good - curtains are blackout but do have gaps at sides. Overall OK 2. Shower - water pressure, flood floor Shower was good and temp steady 3. Clean Yes 4. Power outlets One at each side of bed and at desk - I'd say it met the minimums 5. Desk - workable - power - chair Good space and well lit - better than usual 6. Room - chair, layout Fine. Nothing special but above minimum. Note this was an upgraded room 7. Wifi Good. Glitchy to get it going but $15 for 24 worked fine and was fast. Note after signing on for the $15 option there was no code so couldn't use same login for second wifi device 8. Fridge that isn’t warm or frozen and water bottles a plus Good but preloaded minibar so not a lot of free space Water is at dispenser near elevator 9. HVAC Just OK. Panel says it goes down to 18 but in actuality never got below 22.5 during the day and 21.5 at night 10. Do not disturb sign Good - stayed away 11. Safety of area and especially inside hotel Good area lots of touristy stuff right outside. Convenience store right across parking lot Can walk along harbor front Hotel very quiet and area quiet unless outside Overall - decent option. I would return
