Willa Albatros

I made a reservation for my family, including 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel manager reported that he received a reservation for only 2 adults. The reservation was made through Priceline and then transferred to Booking.com . This is the second time that Priceline’s reservation system screwed up a reservation and excluded my kids. The email reservation didn’t show details of occupancy. I spent 4 hours total, trying to resolve the issue with the hotel manager and Priceline/Booking.com . Both companies kept telling me to deal with the other and both were useless. I chatted with Penny, their AI, which was the only helpful resource. The AI confirmed 2 adults & 2 children, however customer service for both companies couldn’t find this. I made a screen shot of the AI’s response and showed the hotel manager and both Priceline & Booking. Despite their AI confirming the actual booking, both companies were completely useless in resolving the matter. The hotel manager for Willa Albatross was very rude, condescending and argumentative, additionally was harassing as well, sending messages about how disagreeable I was, when I was the only one that was truthful. The manager insisted to charge another $40 and wouldn’t cancel the booking. Willa Albatross is not a Vila. The rooms/bathrooms were unbelievably tight and the pillows and comforters had numerous stains on them; one of which looked like blood. I rarely write reviews though I would caution against staying at this poorly run hotel. Gdańsk has private apartments in the Old Town region with much better views and access to the beautiful canal and historical buildings and cafes, at the same or cheaper rate, I discovered. Also I would not make any reservations through Priceline or Booking as their customer service are useless, repeating “I’m sorry that happened,” dozens of times, yet doing nothing to resolve the matter. Their reservation system has a definite issue with reservations of multiple occupants, especially children. This has happened before to me, just a week prior BUT the hotel manager actually believed in customer service and worked with me to resolve the matter. I'm canceling my Priceline cc and never booking with them or their parent company again. They’ve become too big and show no care for their customers.

The accommodation is faultless for the price!! Sopot is amazing and only ten minutes in a taxi. Go with city or As taxis for half price fair. The beaches and sea food restaurants on the beach are also hard to beat.

Loved this place. Very warm welcome and everything you could wish for. The owner went out of his way to assist in me finding everything I wanted to see locally.if I ever return to the area I would definitely come back here.
