Pros:
* Location: Very convenient for exploring central Katowice on foot. Goldstein Palace and Wolności Square are around 8 minutes away, the Silesian Insurgents’ Monument 12 minutes, Spodek 13 minutes, NOSPR Concert Hall 15 minutes, and the Culture Zone [Strefa Kultury] approximately 19 minutes.
* Room comfort and cleanliness: The room was clean, quiet and very well soundproofed.
* Shower: Excellent water pressure and reliable temperature, both noticeably improved since our previous stay seven years ago.
* In-room facilities: A fridge, complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water replenished daily, and a safe large enough for a laptop.
* Bathroom basics: Tissues, a 1600-watt hairdryer, and a combined shampoo and shower gel were provided.
Cons:
* Decline in overall standard: The hotel has noticeably declined since our stay seven years ago, before it became part of the Wyndham group. The bathroom previously included body lotion, an amenity kit, and separate shampoo and body wash. These have now been removed.
* Misleading bathroom products: The wall-mounted dispensers were labelled as Roots Aromatherapy Eucalyptus and Spearmint products, but the liquid inside was clearly not the product stated on the containers. This is misleading and not acceptable for a four-star hotel.
* Wi-Fi: Although faster than during our previous stay, the highest speed we recorded was only 29 Mbps, which is mediocre for a four-star hotel in Poland in 2026.
* Breakfast: The breakfast has also declined considerably. Fresh orange juice has been replaced by a machine dispensing an orange cordial-style drink. The frankfurters were very fatty, and the only egg option was cold, runny scrambled eggs. Individual tubs of yoghurt are no longer available, with yoghurt now served from large communal carafes instead. The weekend selection was also noticeably more limited than on weekdays, particularly when it came to fresh fruit and other fresh items.
Overall, the hotel remains well located, clean and quiet, but the reduced amenities, misleading bathroom products, slow Wi-Fi and weaker breakfast offering mean that it no longer feels like the same standard of four-star hotel we stayed in seven years ago.

Very nice, clean and especially welcoming hotel. Very helpful staff, nice and clean rooms, great bathroom, good bed. Breakfast is very extensive especially the waffles. And if you have to leave early, there is a lunch box waiting for you. Very central location in Katowice. You can be in the center or at the train station in no time.

Just back from a 2 night break and struggling to fault anything about this Hotel
We have visited various parts of Poland on 8 separate occasions and must say this Hotel is probably the nicest we have stayed in
We booked a Junior suite on the 1st floor, big spacious room, comfortable bed, power shower and bath, separate “make up” room, bath robe, slippers, tea, coffee and a free chocolate left on our pillow was a lovely touch
Breakfast the best yet, catered for everyone’s needs, so much choice!!
We got the bus from the airport ( AP ) which dropped us right outside the hotel and going back the bus stop is just across the road, trams a 5 minute walk away as where plenty of shops, bars, food….
Hotel staff lovely and nothing too much trouble
If we ever return to Katowice this is the place we will stay again and would happily recommend
