Elegant modern restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients. Somewhat limited menu but well presented. Unique location - former fortress - good access and parking. Offers occasional fado+dinner evenings.

Clean rooms, clean bathroom. Breakfast ok, unfortunately with low fruit selection. Coffee from the fully automatic machine moderately edible. For 3 nights it was ok. Cons: No privacy at the small pool as the hotel also admits visitors. Pool loungers for the most part with broken loungers. Interior of the fort designed joylessly, only lawn. In the room pointless furniture instead of storage space for the suitcase. Mattresses very hard. No make-up mirror in the bathroom. Breakfast only from 7.30 h, only on request a bit tough offered at 7.15 h.
