I just want the people who read this review to find it helpful as a warning. We had a reservation at this hotel in May 2026. The airline canceled our flight twice and finally canceled it altogether. Since the first cancellation, I communicated the problem to the hotel and requested, as a goodwill gesture, a refund of the reservation or to offer other dates to use our reservation. The response has been to ignore us and do absolutely nothing.

We cannot fully understand all the negative reviews. We arrived at the hotel quite early, with a rental car that is also necessary. Our room was not ready yet, but we could store our luggage and explore the area first. Back at the hotel, we were very happy; we received an upgrade - why, we do not know - to the only junior suite available. Thus, we had two rooms and also two balconies and plenty of space. The room had a good view of the pool and the sea, it was cleaned perfectly every day, we also had no noise from the air conditioning and often slept with the windows open, and we slept very well. The entire hotel area was cleaned impeccably every day, there are enough parking spaces for all guests, there is a tennis court, a water dispenser in the lobby, and always special tea or water at the reception, a gym, a nice pool, a bar over two terraces… In the bar, there were good snacks, great drinks, and occasionally live music. Dinner is, in our opinion, too expensive for the selection. Although it did not taste bad, it lacked highlights, was mostly only lukewarm, and rarely refilled… Breakfast definitely needs improvement. Every morning, there was the same selection of cheese, two types of pre-packaged sausage, the same two jams, no special fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, packaged yogurt, juice from a carton… after five days, we had enough of the breakfast… In conclusion, for us, it is a good, solid hotel in a great location, with super nice staff, very clean… restaurant food has room for improvement, but the bar is good.

Stayed for 4 nights in June 2026. Really nice hotel. Great room and all the staff were excellent and helpful. Guests lovely too. Will remember Betty in particular who we loved chatting to about how she’d been taken up the main path and the back door to the Azores all day. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
