Faial Resort

Great location with wonderful views over the town and Pico. Breakfast is a bit chaotic but acceptable! Pool area nice and they serve a good lunch menu. Nothing to really worry about despite what others may say!

The hotel has a beautiful location but is in need of renovation. Disaster at breakfast, no cups, no glasses, sometimes even the plates were missing. 2 coffee machines for about 100 seats. Way too little staff to refill the buffet and for overall service. Partially completely overwhelmed. Nevertheless, the island is worth a trip.

The hotel had a nice lay-out (garden, pool). Breakfast, however, need management attention. When two Nespresso machines breakdown in error, it takes 5-10’minutes before staff reacts. Cleaning tables seem to be higher priority. Bread and other ingredients are not replanishef proactively. Only after complains, some action is started. The amount of large coffee cups is insufficiënt. Each 10 minutes or so, some 4 to 8 cups appear from the kitchen. Overall: chaotic breakfast service
