Vale Do Navio

We had a good couple of nights at the Hotel Vale Do Novio. It was easy to find, lots of free parking on site, and check in was easy. It’s a fairly big resorty type hotel, with multi-storey rooms centered around a outdoor pool area. The place has seen better days, the cracks were literally showing in the cement walls, a bit of peeling paint here, dark, dingey hallways there, etc. Just in need of a facelift, that’s all. Our room was large with a sliding glass door overlooking a nearby roof – not much of a view for us! Everything was clean and tidy, the internet worked well, and we had a decent sleep – overall comfortable enough. The gym was surprisingly good. All of the gear was high-quality Technogym gear and appeared to be almost brand new. There was a variety of cardio machines and a good selection of weight machines, free weights, and dumbbells. We were rather impressed with it and made use of it during our stay. The breakfast buffet was very good and we had a good feed. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend it to other travelers.

Very poor breakfast for 17.50€ As in the Booking app points 14€ per person for breakfast. Dry and tough mixed eggs. The maids take longer to talk than to work, instead of talking, they move the eggs so they don't dry and stay in a block inside the maria bath. Lots of lack of maintenance and the exterior to lascar tintam... In large areas .. pools full of sand and beasts ..

We loved the Service and facilities. We stayed 4 nights in which we loved the initiative of being friends of the Mood in which only clean the room if the guests express this need at the reception until a certain time. And as compensation they give a voucher for domestic consumption. I asked the name of 2 very nice receptionists, but I already forgot! I won't even risk saying names. But take 5* for professionalism and sympathy. We loved the outdoor and indoor pool. And the fact of having a park for customers included, kettle, mini-fridge and water in the room. Breakfast was very good, just needed more variety of fruit. We also had dinner one night and we liked it a lot. The whole bar and restaurant staff are very friendly. The only thing to point out, and what I said at the check-out, is the intermittent flash of the fire alarm in the rooms. It really scared me the first night in addition to being inconvenient (in our case with a baby, when he woke up he would see the flash and could scare himself and wake up during the night; was forced to turn on a light whenever he woke up not to see the flash, when at home I do not need to turn on lights to calm him during the night), can be dangerous for people with epilepsy. I suggest that you find a solution, as it can cause serious situations in specific clients and/or children.
