Pousada de Elvas - Santa Luzia

We stayed two nights and will not repeat again. We paid 93 per night and honestly not worth it. The facilities are already old and the furniture of the common areas is already out of use. As for the room, this is minimalist, the curtain cuts light is full of holes letting the light pass. The bed wasn't bad. Bathrooms in need of urgent repair,cold and old.The highest note goes to the cleaning that has nothing to point out. Regarding breakfast, there are several aspects to consider: It's not a breakfast presented in a 4-star hotel. There is no croissant, only sliced bread, and there was a bread that was in a plastic box. Some yogurts are of white brand, the butter is inside a bowl with water where bits float in the middle of ice. The toaster is a step from failing, supermarket biscuits without any grace and milk bags in plastic bags. I don't want to mention the two coffee machines, super old and the coffee is awful. The cups and cups for coffee are not the same, they are each of their own nation. Today, there was a discussion between the kitchen employees that was heard in the room...While this nobody came back the cheese, ice and said coffee machine expected to be supplied. The appearance and presentation has no tip where to catch, nor does it give a desire to eat.Note zero.There is no employee attentive to these things.The first slice of cheese was from the day before, the aspect speaks for itself, cheese cut to the slices with the shell to fold. Bad for a 4-star, only with good will. In short, optimal cleanliness but breakfast is a disaster.Installacoes urgently need to repair or lower to two stars and adjust the price.

Hotel well located near the historic center of Elvas (10 min walk), with free parking for clients. It is an old Pousada that now belongs to another hotel chain. The reception staff is friendly, but you can tell that the facilities are dated and in need of renovation and in some areas a coat of paint. There are few plugs in the rooms and they are not near the bedside tables. There is no heating in the bathroom and in cold weather it can be a problem. The breakfast buffet is quite mediocre.

Very pleasant and available staff, cleanliness and reasonably comfortable bed are the only things that allow me to give it a positive rating. Hotel with an old design, cold room that the AC at maximum had difficulty solving. Bathroom immensely cold and not at all comfortable. Minimalist breakfast with a very simple buffet. Overall, the friendliness of those who served us was worth it. I could have a negative rating because charging €93 for one night's accommodation in March is absurd, however, as I was the one who agreed to stay at this price, it didn't influence my evaluation.
