Sao Joao de Deus

We organized in the Hotel São João de Deus the accommodation of the guests for our wedding. It all ran perfectly. Neusa, CEO, was very professional, organized everything in the best way possible. All our guests loved staying in this hotel. The hotel itself is very beautiful, very welcoming, transmits the feeling of being in a family house. A special thanks not only to Neusa, but also to Regina, who made us fiancés not have to worry about anything. Clearly we will be back soon

I had been in this hotel in 2020 and I loved it. It is a fort with history and decoration of the season, very well cared for and clean, with outdoor gardens and nice pool. Maybe because I stayed this last time in the Holy Week (with more people) I was surprised with a room almost inside because there were no windows to the exterior but to the living room of the hotel. I complained but it did nothing to me because it was a triple and it is customary to be so. In fact, I booked a double room for me and husband and a bed for the ten-year-old son. I think there should be no indoor rooms in hotels because they are not healthy because they do not allow fresh air to enter. It was a pity this experience because I really like the location in the historic center, the breakfast, the outdoor gardens.

Old, downbeat, cold and not up to the standards of a 4 star hotel. Very noisy, don't expect to have a nice night sleep as you can hear everything in the next rooms including very noisy water pipes and flushing. Very disappointing stay in what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel (it's not, it's 3 star at most).
