Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club

We just spent a few days at Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club and, honestly, we were delighted. From our arrival, everything has been much better than we expected. The first thing we want to highlight is the staff. At the front desk, they assisted us with extraordinary kindness and professionalism, and we can say the same for the bar and restaurant staff. Everyone, absolutely everyone, was friendly, cordial, helpful, and very professional. You can tell when people do their job well and, furthermore, know how to treat the customer with a smile and naturally. Our sincerest congratulations to the entire team. The house was impeccable: very clean, modern, spacious, and equipped with everything necessary. We really did not lack anything. It is one of those accommodations where you arrive, drop off your bags, and immediately feel comfortable. Everything works, everything is well-maintained, and everything is designed to be able to spend a vacation without worries. The pools for adults and children are wonderful, the setting is beautiful, and, above all, the tranquility is incredible. You can breathe in peace. No noise, no stress, just nature, fresh air, silence, and a feeling of relaxation that is not so easy to find nowadays. Another huge plus is its magnificent location: in just five minutes by car, you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve, such as Praia Verde, Manta Rota, and Monte Gordo. This allows you to enjoy, during the same day, the tranquility and coolness of the complex, its pools, and its wonderful green surroundings, as well as the sea and the splendid Algarve beaches. A truly perfect combination. We also enjoyed the restaurant and the breakfasts very much. The English breakfast is truly monumental! Abundant, complete, and perfect for starting the day off right. The atmosphere of the bar and restaurant is very pleasant and, once again, the staff makes you feel truly at ease. It is a fantastic place to spend a vacation, rest, enjoy nature, and, naturally, play golf or even learn. But we were also surprised by how perfect it is for those who need to work remotely. The internet is fast, stable, and has always worked perfectly, which was important to us. Being able to work calmly and, upon finishing, go out and find yourself in such a green, fresh, and beautiful environment is a true luxury. What we liked most is that the whole complex conveys a feeling of tranquility and well-being. The facilities are magnificent, the houses are very well equipped, the landscape is beautiful, and one feels that they can truly disconnect. We are leaving with a wonderful memory and wanting to return. We will recommend this place to our friends and acquaintances because we sincerely believe that it is worth discovering. It is perfect for a vacation, to enjoy golf, to rest with the family, or even to combine a few days of tranquility with remote work. We stayed as a family of 4 at Castro Marim in early June. Accommodation was great, lovely villa in the Village area of the resort. Three ensuite bedrooms, towels and sheets changed twice in the week. Pool area was spotless, a little shop/bar area there for ice creams, coffees etc Food in the main club house was of a good standard. We had lunch there most days. Unfortunately it was not open for dinner, this is a pity. We would have ate here a few of the evenings. We played three rounds of golf, it was a challenging enough course, very hilly, and very fast greens. It was in good condition and very enjoyable. The highlight of the visit was our lessons from the golf director and in house pro, Peter O Connor. He assessed us individually and picked areas to work on. As a beginner, it was brilliant to be taught the correct grip and a good set up. My swing improved so much from the lessons. Our boys also really enjoyed their lessons, getting invaluable advice that will serve them well over the years. Peter had a lovely way with the lads and really got them to listen, something I cant always do ! My husband got great tips too. We will definitely be back, and will be booking in more lessons with Peter. Overall, a super holiday
