Were to start only good thing was pillows and breakfast 4 sets of stairs no lift no fun when your 60 got bad knees and your luggage last weeks Dinner on forks cleaning only 1 time left no toilet roll and lighting on landing was absolutely terrible only 2 bath towels for 3 people absolutely one of the worst places I've ever stayed in would not stay again if you payed me

We returned from Choromar Apartments two days ago having spent a week there. We were a group a five men aged between 47 and 75. So not really party animals. I booked our stay about a year ago and having done so then read some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. Had I done the right thing? I had booked two Superior Main Building 1 Bedroom Apartments with Balcony and Pool View. When we arrived the lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. She said we looked like nice gentlemen and wouldn't charge us the €300 per room damage deposit. We had to pay a deposit for the air conditioner and TV remotes, which was returned. There was a small charge for the in room safe and you had to pay the government tourist tax. There was a lift up to the forth floor were our adjacent rooms where. On entering our room I extremely pleased, the apartment was huge, There was a separate bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom with a walk in shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The main room had a small kitchen in the corner, with kettle, toaster, microwave etc. There were two large sofa beds and a dining table and chairs. The TV also had some English channels including BBC 1. The balcony had a small table, two chairs and a drying rack. All the staff that we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful. The bar was good and very reasonably priced. It did food and we had breakfast there most mornings. There is outside seating and an outside TV. The pool dis seem a little chilly when you first got in, not surprising given the heat and the air temperature. There is a small on site shop that stocks the basics. We found the hotel to be very clean, towels changed every second day, pool area cleaned every morning. No cockroaches to be seen. The only downside is that it is quite a distance from anywhere. However, UBERs are plentiful and cheap. Overall we all had a great time. I would recommend the superior rooms in the main block.

We have just arrived back from a week staying at Choro Mar and we had a lovely week. Initially we had read reviews that it was not clean, loud and not fit for purpose however we found anything but this. Our apartment was clean and spacious. A few days prior I had emailed the Hotel asking if we could have a quieter apartment as despite being four young men, we were not staying for the party atmosphere, more preferring long days in the sun, a late dinner and a glass of wine before bed. The Hotel obliged this request and we got an apartment on one of the sub blocks (They can be quite far from the main block so be prepared to walk!) Just as a word of caution, there is no lift in the block so you do have to climb stairs. The beds in the apartment are really comfortable and there is extra pillows and blankets if needed. The apartment was silent at night save for the sounds of crickets outside and it was quiet during the day even with people enjoying the pools. The block had its own pool shared between the other apartments and it was always quiet as well as being well maintained and clean. There is ample parking in the area though you may sometimes needs to park around the corner from your apartment block as it is in high demand. Whilst the stay was great, we did have a couple of very minor bits of feedback. The 300€ deposit on arrival seemed quite excessive however we did understand that with the amount of unruly groups the Hotel has to protect itself from the risks. The oven in the Apartment is labelled as deactivated and the hob failed to get hot which can be quite irritating when you are self catering as we only had a microwave, kettle and toaster however with the heat we mainly stuck to small cold foods instead so it wasn’t a major issue for us. Finally we did find two cockroaches in the apartment on arrival, it was very late at night when we checked in and the balcony door had been left open to air the apartment since 3pm so we do give benefit of the doubt here that they came in through the open door in that time. No other insects where found however so it truly was a one off. Overall, our stay was comfortable, quiet, great value for money and most importantly, relaxing. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we were visiting the area.
