Very nice room although WiFi wasn't brilliant to use in hotel room which needs improvement. Overall receptionist was good. Swimming pool was okay.

I quickly entered the reception as soon as the taxi dropped me off in front of the hotel to ask for support from the reception staff. The taxi driver only accepted cash to pay for the ride and did not want me to pay with credit cards. Honestly, traveling around the world for work every week, this is the first time I have heard something so absurd in 2026 (unless I am traveling in Morocco/Tunisia/Egypt). The receptionist, in addition to confirming that in Portugal it is not mandatory to accept credit cards, wanted to emphasize that it is my duty as a tourist to also carry cash and that I certainly would not have liked what she was saying at that moment. I find such a personal comment completely out of place to belittle a traveler when the only thing I was seeking at that moment was her support to understand how to better manage the situation. I then asked if she could call my companion from the reception since he was not answering the phone and I needed to leave my suitcase in the room (having landed a day after him and at that moment it was 7:30 in the morning). Response: for policy reasons, we cannot call the room. I stayed in the reception waiting for my companion to wake up (since the reservation was in his name and not mine); I add that I had arrived from a flight taken at 6 in the morning, so I had not slept all night to catch it. The situation became usual when two receptionists were present. The second one with red hair was visibly embarrassed and tried to speak in a low tone in support. The receptionist who spoke to me about both of my requests should be fired. Shameful. And above all, where is the customer service?? As for the room, I would say the photos speak for themselves. There is no need to comment verbally. GO ELSEWHERE.

Great location for early flight, nice clean room, great value.
