Monchique Residences

For about 10 years I have regularly visited the facilities of the thermal villa of the Monchique boilers. Over this period I have seen many changes, ... Some positive others not so much. About 3 years ago the regular customers (non-hosts were very welcome and paid a special price of 10e. In the last 3 years prices have increased enormously and at this time when I use pay 25 e. An increase of 125%. The works and improvements that have been made, however, are meritorious, but do not justify such an increase. Over the years I have also seen many changes in the care staff. Some are extremely nice and efficient... Others not so much. Sometimes you feel a strange atmosphere among the people. I would like, however, to highlight an employee who always seems to be well disposed and therefore points out how, ... "The exception to the rule,. Marcela conveys a sense of efficiency and sympathy to customers, unparalleled, always willing to help with a smile in the face,.. There should be more professionals like Marcela.

Great disappointment of the facilities, a very high price for what they offer. The views of the room were the water tanks of the Monchique water factory. In the room you could hear the noise of the engines of the factory both night and day. Access to the complex in very bad condition. There was no reception service. In fact the keys were not working and we had to go to another building in the complex. Very dirty outdoor pools. The spa very poorly maintained, the bathrooms had an unbearable smell of damp. It had two saunas and one was damaged, and the other always busy as it only fit two people. At breakfast they were slow to replenish and little variety. The price of the spa very high to have only a pool with four jets.

Wonderful in this Thermal Village, I didn't know this place in the Algarve. It seems to be in a charming forest, friendly staff and everything clean to the woods. Breakfast with lots of variety, various fruits, five stars. Clean and comfortable suite. Good outdoor pool, despite not having used, due to rain..LOL. I recommend, to repeat.
