Tropical Sol

Stayed at this hotel with 7 of my girls for 5 nights . Check in required a deposit of €100 in cash , so make sure you have that if you’re in a large group !! Staff seemed friendly and were quick to service. Our rooms were a lot nicer and larger than expected , the room i stayed in had free aircon too , however my friends rooms didn’t work . The pool area is so nice , the snack bar next to the pool also serves nice food and cocktails during the day . The only thing i did find was that although there is quiet hour after 11pm , this didn’t really seem to apply . I myself was in a group of 18 year olds who got back from the strip at about 3am every night , but we were as quiet as possible . However there was a group of boys above us who kept ding dong ditching us and neighbours , moving furniture around and screaming in the early hours of the morning . Seemingly they didn’t get told to stop at any point but this may have been resolved out of my knowledge . Overall , good hotel for the price and perfect for my girls holiday.

This was our 6th visit to the Tropical Sol for my wife’s birthday and as per previous visits didn’t disappoint. Stayed in room 05 with pool view and found it as usual very comfortable. Cleaners come every day except Sundays and do a great job. Last time we stayed here the pool bar was closed but on our last day they were getting it ready to open the following day. This time it was open and we had dinner here most nights of our 10 day stay. Other nights we went to Fat Cats across the road and the Chinese restaurant 5 minutes away. Weather wasn’t the best but were able to sit at the pool most days. Couple of days it was too windy so we sat on our balcony having tea, coffee and buns from the bakery around the corner. If we went out we always returned to the Tropical bar run by Rui for drinks. Nice relaxing bar with a friendly face serving you, what more would you need. During our stay there were 2 different group of golfers who took over the pool bar mid afternoon. Not a problem as we brought our drinks back to the sunbeds. One thing I noticed was the Tropical Sol have done away with the sunbed mattress so beds were a bit uncomfortable. Didn’t ruin our break but hopefully they replace them in the future. Noticed a few people saying that staff were unfriendly, grumpy and uncooperative. I can honestly say I have never experienced this in any of my visits. In fact quite the opposite as I always found all staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you Tropical Sol for another wonderful stay and we will be back at a future date for trip number 7 and sorry it’s taken so long to post this review.

Although it’s a fabulous location, we probably wouldn’t stay here again. Some of the staff seemed to be very rude and not very friendly or approachable. Slightly lacking on cleanliness around the hotel too. For the price you would expect a bit more.
