We were at the Clube Porto de Mos for a week from 07/07/26 - 07/14/26 as a family with two children (9, 19) and thus in Portugal for the first time. We had booked the luxury apartment with a direct sea view in Villa No. 3. The apartment has a separate bedroom, a really very large living room with a sofa bed, and a fully equipped small kitchen with a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment. The bathroom is also very large with a toilet, bidet, and bathtub with a glass wall for showering. Large French doors lead from both rooms onto the connecting balcony. There was a table with four chairs and a large drying rack there. The magnificent view from the balcony looks directly over the cliffs onto the adjacent beach and the sea. Our apartment is still one of those that had not been renovated, which did not detract from the experience at all. It is certainly a great feeling when you arrive in a renovated room. Our apartment is certainly not yet renovated, but still not old and in very good condition, especially because it was wonderfully prepared, extremely clean, and tidy. This condition continues throughout the entire complex and the surrounding area. The green spaces, the indoor and outdoor pool, the paths, the gym area, bar, and dining area are very tidy, very clean, and well-maintained. People (gardeners, housekeepers, etc.) are bustling about everywhere and taking care of things. Everything feels very familiar. You can feel this in the interaction with the staff, who were always friendly, attentive, and helpful. If there was a problem, which can happen, it was solved immediately. The entire complex is spacious and yet manageable. The advantage lies precisely in this circumstance. The individual buildings are small and at most one story high, and you do not encounter crowds of people. At the pool, you can actually always find enough lounge chairs, and only a few stubborn people reserve "their" lounge chairs with towels. If there are no more lounge chairs available, you can make yourself comfortable on the well-kept lawn right by the pool area under the trees! However, there was always something free at the second small pool. The manageability and the family atmosphere continue in the dining area. The selection of food is completely sufficient and the food is very delicious - we had booked half-board. No one has to go hungry or leave the table hungry. Anyone who does not find anything and compares the selection with the huge all-inclusive hotel complexes is doing something wrong or probably eats significantly worse at home. From the hotel, it is a 5-minute walk down the street and you are right at the very beautiful, shallow beach. Everyone finds their place there. Everything is very well-maintained and tidy here, too. There are two small eateries with a good selection for snack options and evening meals. The nearest large supermarket (Intermarché) is 5 minutes away by car (rental car). It is a bit more difficult to find something within walking distance in the immediate vicinity. All in all, we ask ourselves why we were not on vacation in Portugal sooner. It is a great, down-to-earth country and has significantly more advantages than Spain and Italy. We were out and about a lot by car and saw a lot. What we did not see was the well-known mass tourism - not even in Albufeira, although it is the party hub of Portugal. And even there, Portugal has its tourists under control. Instead, there was hospitality, a well-kept and tidy country, truly great nature with great beaches (we couldn't decide on a "best" beach - perhaps Beliche), and a highly acceptable price-performance ratio. We will definitely come back - because of the country and because of our great stay at the Clube Porto de Mos! The hotel does not impress with glitter and glamour, but with character!!!

A really lovely hotel only 5 minute walk to the beautiful Porto Mos beach. The pool is wonderful - very quiet in the mornings. As requested we had a partial sea view (1104 set towards the back and up high) - it was a little dated but did us perfectly well. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. 5*! We enjoyed the breakfast although it didn’t vary much - but only 4 days so that was fine. Sparkling wine with breakfast was a nice surprise ! Suggestions for the management to consider would be softer mattresses, better pillows, an airer, and some coat/hat/bag hooks. We liked being out of town and getting Uber taxis into Lagos for dinner (only €3-€4. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking this hotel again.

Lovely villas, the staff were very helpful. The hotel is quite in the evenings but you can get a taxi for €7 for 4 people into town, the hotel will call them for you, only 5 min wait. Car hire very easy and hotel will help with that also. Top marks hope to go back again.
