Eurosol Gouveia

Located in the centre of Gouveia, five minutes from the bus station. Friendly reception staff. Room dated with heavy furniture, but spacious and comfortable. Rooms at the front presumably have a view over the countryside. I was at the back, looking up to the C17th town hall. Quiet, except that the municipality emptied the public recycling bins at 06.00. Air conditioning and Wifi worked. Effective ventilation in the bathroom meant that clothes that l had washed dried overnight. Friendly staff at breakfast. Good buffet. Public areas include a terrace and large lounge with views out over the countryside, and a games room.

Located in the heart of Gouveia, close to everything, this hotel is perfect for a stay in the Serra da Estrela. With an excellent price/quality ratio and an exemplary sympathy it is a place to visit and come back again and again. Immaculate rooms, short breakfast but with everything essential. Even the game room there.
