I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Sao José. The hotel is conveniently located, very close to the bus station, which is good when arriving late from the airport. The decoration of the rooms is a bit rustic, but the atmosphere is warm and cocooning. The room and bathroom were spacious and especially very clean. I also spent time in the living room on the ground floor which I found very nice, cozy, quiet and perfectly appointed. The first impression counts for a lot in a hotel, and I was fortunate to be welcomed by Vera, who was smiling, welcoming and very friendly. The staff at the restaurant and breakfast were also very nice. In particular, I remember a very kind gentleman named Imaculado. I only stayed one night, but next time I will take more time to enjoy the hotel. Only small downside, the restaurant I found a little expensive compared to the service. A simple dessert cream charged 7 euros, presented as a crème brûlée, it was a bit disappointing. But despite this, I will gladly return to it.

We stayed one night at this property during our car tour of Portugal. Fatima is a must-see, a truly unique place, whether you are a believer or not. The atmosphere is slow, soaked in peace and silence. This is also reflected in the people who work every day to receive pilgrims and visitors. The hotel is a few steps from the sanctuary where every day, at different times, even late in the evening, masses, rosaries and torchlight processions are celebrated in honor of Our Lady. Great breakfast buffet both sweet and skipped. Free private parking. Adjacent there is also a restaurant with excellent cuisine.
