Termas do Vimeiro

Despite the bad weather... rain during the 3 days... I liked it! The room was pleasant. Access to the pool, Turkish bath and sauna was full from 8 am to 8 pm. They gave me a total massage... VERY good! It was 3 great days!

We had booked to stay at the sister hotel, Golf Mar but arrived early and they were full, so we were directed to Hotel Das Termas for a night instead. It is very reasonably priced, we paid 45 euros for a double, including breakfast and the room was very basic but clean and functional. The room was small and the decor is rather dated with floral embroidary headboards and very basic bathroom but it was clean and served a purpose. There are toiletries and bottled water provided. There is no aircon and it is right on the road so it is warm at night in summer but not unbearable. The rooms are also quite small. Breakfast was serve yourself, as you'd expect and there was a good range of breads, meats, cereals, yogharts etc. The staff were polite and friendly. It is in the middle of Maceira and about a 5 minute drive to the coast. The views from the room are just of the road and village. I would not describe it as particularly attractive view, but it certainly isn't unpleasant. In summary, I would say you are getting what you pay for and if you need somewhere to stay and are happy with basic then this would be a good choice. So long as you're not expecting anything more than clean, basic and functional you will not be disappointed.
