Borges Hotel

Location is this hotel's bragging point! Literally steps to the Chiado/Baixa metro station Oldest coffee shop in Lisbon - right next door & many restaurant choices, coffee shops and shopping nearby - including Chiado Mall The hotel is ok - its an old building . The hallways are a bit worn & okd could use updating..the room I had looked modern and was mostly comfy - bed was a bit hard. I had a small issue with AC but it was quickly tended to... nice front desk staff. Overall the stay was good- if uou want fancy its not here - just plain accommodations but for the price its a good value Ask for a room facing side street or courtyard or it may to be noisy facing the main street . Bring shampoo, conditioner & kleenex there are none ... There is bodywash & handsoap :)

They put me on the 5th floor in the attic. The roof two foot in some places 4ft in most. I'm 5 foot tall and banged my head three times a day for three nights. I literally think I have concussion. The hotel staff are disinterested and the room cleaner never provided fresh tea cups. The only saving grace is the central location. Would NOT recommend this hotel. This room is the worst I've ever stayed in.

Hotel Borges Chiado was a wonderful place to stay during our visit to Lisbon. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of everything, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, attractions, and public transportation. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One feature we especially appreciated was the soundproof windows, which blocked out the city noise and allowed us to enjoy a great night's sleep despite being in such a vibrant area. The customer service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. We arrived before our room was ready, and they were happy to store our luggage so we could start exploring the city right away without any inconvenience. Overall, Hotel Borges Chiado offers an excellent combination of location, comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
