The room we were given with two beds, one of the mattresses we realized in the morning that it was full of bed bugs. I send you pictures of what happened. The lady who attended us immediately asking with demand that we pay the tourist tax but does not even deign to give us a proof or ticket. Very bad experience with the accommodation.

We booked this small hotel for our honeymoon trip and we enjoyed it perfectly! The hotel is quiet and very nice. I only mentioned if it was possible to have a kettle for making a tea and the receptionist brought me the kettle immediately! The hotel is located next to the train station and you can find nearby several small cafes and restaurants that are not so expensive as the ones in the town centre. Tourist information is in the train station where you can buy also tickets for the palaces.

We arrived by train from Lisbon. Across the street is Monte da Lua. Great. Dump the bags and explore. Sintra is very hilly, but M da L is ideal for arrival and get away. Early afternoon we got straight into the room. The cleaning/reception lady had minimal English but was very friendly and welcoming. Room 6 to the back was a nice size and high up. Quiet. The classical music that is played on the city loudspeakers made for a pleasant ambience. Everybody in Sintra seems friendly despite the hordes of tourists. Walking up into the main square takes 15-20 minutes and a late afternoon visit to the National Palace is recommended. Only a few other visitors. I booked through Booking.com, stayed 2 nights and paid on arrival which was ideal. I would definitely stay here again if we are in Sintra.
