nice hotel in the middle of old part of town, fine room with fine self-regulated air conditioning, good breakfast, nice rooftop bar and above all great staff, our tour to the west canceled a few hours in advance but at the reception they arranged the same tour within 5 minutes with another operator while at get your guide nothing could be booked for the next day, Thanks again 401a

An ok hotel but sadly didn't meet my expectations of my booking or a 4* hotel. I booked a "superior room" to find on arrival the tiniest of rooms with no cupboards, no daylight and barely space to put luggage on the floor. Bathroom behind a glass wall with a curtain that doesn't cover it very well. I spoke to reception who said they don't have a superior room, only standard or standard plus which can vary in size, well this one was clearly only a standard. We did get moved to a bigger room after one night which was much better. Its worth knowing that all standard/superior rooms face inwards so no daylight at all. Breakfast was ok, rooms a bit tired and things like shower gel and teabags not replenished. The best thing though is the location, it's perfect for exploring Funchal and handy for enjoying all the restaurants and bars. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

Great location, helpful staff and great food. Quiet fir such a central location . Will definitely be returning.
