Hotel Santa Cruz

I stayed at the Hotel Santa Cruz for two nights and must honestly say: It was rather disappointing 😕. Although the hotel was barely occupied at the time, I was quartered in room 111 just off the street. Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely noisy – I heard every car outside, and in addition noises came from the neighbouring room, where someone from the hotel staff was apparently staying. It was hard to think of restful sleep. Another drawback: The fuse box in the room regularly made a whistling sound – quite annoying, especially at night. What I couldn't do, though, was the Wi-Fi. It was so slow that I couldn't work sensibly or access pages. Other guests have also criticized this in their reviews – and I can fully confirm this 👎. Positively noteworthy is the free parking, which is of course convenient in the city, and the breakfast was okay – nothing special, but fresh and adequate 😊. Conclusion: For a short stopover maybe still feasible, but overall the price-performance ratio is not right here. I would probably choose a different accommodation next time.

We were staying with the senior female team of Benfica Football Club, and it was a great experience for the entire staff, very good service by the entire staff, no flaws in the meals according to the notes we had requested, and the availability of space requested for group activity. Our thanks on behalf of Benfica Football Club, hoping that the experience will repeat itself.

Hotel very well located, in the center of Santa Cruz and very close to the beach. Acceptable conditions for a 3* hotel, a reasonable breakfast and good rooms, even though the soundproofing is not the best. Still, free parking and in addition the final price is very considerable
