Well placed very close to the airport, hidden in a small street (not very easy to find). Single room a little small. Basic bathroom (hot water a little random). Nice welcome. No breakfast or restaurant on site.

Well located in the city center, the rooms are large as well as the bathroom. Attention, no breakfast on site. Everything is old-fashioned but very clean, all for a very modest price around 50 euros for one night. WiFi available, no air conditioning (a fan is available)

I had selected this hotel on purpose for its 24-hour service because our plane landed us at 1am. I had previously contacted the property to see if it offered a shuttle between the airport and the hotel. I was told yes, but when I asked for more details like price, no answer. Yeah. On the D-day we took a taxi to get to the hotel. And when we arrived (at 1:15 in the morning), we found closed door and no one at the reception. After several attempts to reach the manager (knocking on the door, phone call), he finally answered the phone. On the other hand he never came down to open us... He assured us that he was not expecting any reservations. Hearing our air confused and panicked, and instead of helping us, he just hung up on us! After an hour strolling with our bags we ended up finding another hotel that kindly helped us (thanks to them, otherwise we slept on the street with all our belongings for our first day in Madeira!). In short, deplorable and LYING service! If you want to spend a serene night, I strongly advise against going!
