Albatroz Beach and Yacht Club

Fantastic hotel near the airport. The best part, besides the good location, is the staff. Everyone was exceptionally nice and very performance-oriented. Especially the restaurant staff is far above average compared to what we experienced in Madeira. But also the reception team. The entire staff is absolutely amazing. There is a small pool and directly by the sea, a very large seawater pool, which is beautifully located. There are plenty of parking spaces available. It takes about 5 minutes to the airport by car. It is well suited for an early flight home. For us, it was not a relaxing experience - never again!!!

Fantastic hotel with very kindly employees

Positives: amazing staff, good food, great location. Salt water pool Is special. Read the other reviews they are real Negatives: some points I would liked to have known. We stayed a week which is a bit unusual I think. Many treat as airport hotel for which it is amazing. It is very close to the airport. Air flights are limited but you hear them and smell them. More significant it is right next to main road around the island. No noise in rooms or restaurant but there is a lot constant sitting by pool. Walking to Santa Cruz requires 500m along footpath next to motorway. Pool is heated but only to 24. Jacuzzi and sauna are tepid and old. Food is good choice and generally very good family restaurant style. But this is not 5 star luxury.
