Basic Hotel Braga by Axis

· The hotel is very well located very close to the center of Braga. Given that it is a 2 star I can say that exceeded my expectations. I was afraid of the noise of the trains, because it is glued to the station and it did not occur. The room wasn't big but it was comfortable and very quiet The breakfast was simple but for me it was fine because there was everything I liked Not liked · The air conditioning didn't work. Luckily the heat wasn't much yet

Handy carpark under hotel. Easy walk into the town. Nice tidy and clean room. Bar could have longer opening hours but all in all far from the Basic the name suggests!

I stayed at Axis Basic Braga and, unfortunately, the experience was marked by a rather unpleasant situation and the way it was managed by the hotel. On the first night of our stay, we were stuck in the elevator for about 30 minutes. Besides the discomfort and natural anxiety that such a situation causes, what most surprised us was the complete absence of accompaniment by the hotel. After we were able to leave, no one contacted us to see if we were well or if we needed some kind of assistance. We had to call ourselves to inform that we had already left, with no one waiting for us. We were asked to pass the reception the next day, which led us to believe that there would be some kind of attention or gesture of compensation for what happened. However, we limited ourselves to receiving a simple “the elevator is already working, we apologize,” without any real demonstration of concern or care about the customer’s experience. I understand that unforeseen events can happen in any hotel unit, but the way they are managed makes all the difference. In this case, we feel a lack of professionalism, empathy and customer attention, something that I consider fundamental in this sector.
