Desing & Wine Hotel

This hotel was very disappointing. The rooms and hallways had a very strong odor like mold. The pool area was in the basement. Had no air circulation and also smelled of mold. The electricity in our room went out. When checking with the reception they said they couldn’t do anything and that it was the key card that was faulty. We had no air conditioning and no lights. We had to flip a fuse box switch every 40 minutes to keep the lights going. The hotel did nothing and did not provide a discount, refund or anything. Truly horrible. I would never stay there again.

Very well located hotel, friendly staff. Some shortcomings to point out such as the lack of cabodes to hang the towels, in the shower the water flooded the part of the toilet, difficulty using the shower, I chose a hand shower and water came out by the shower from above... the breakfast had a lot of variety from fruits, breads, cakes, eggs... the dinner in the restaurant left to be desired, I wasn't enchanted... the atmosphere of the indoor pool becomes heavy by smelling too much moisture and mold and the pool was pretty dirty! It is a beautiful hotel, the garden and restaurant area is quite relaxing! The experience in general was positive but with details that should pay more attention!

The total rudeness of the checkin experience was like nothing I have encountered. You would think you might see the common thread with your one star ratings, and that is total rudeness of staff. You would think if you don’t like people you would not be in the hospitality industry. It’s just mind boggling. And second huge issue …., mould. If you are thinking of staying , reconsider, and do yourself a favour, find elsewhere. Small, noisy, run down rooms, too. There is no design. Just a tiny noisy run down room. There is mould in entire building. Our room stunk of the air freshener they had plugged in, to disguise it, which made you gag, and then when you pulled it out of the socket, the room stunk of sewerage and mould. The shower has two pages of instructions. And was still a trickle.And there is no coffee only paper cups.
