Montalegre

The Hotel wasn't bad, but it wasn't special either. Montalegre is a beautiful place, but very small and without a lot to do. In addition, the best places to visit in Geres are very far from the village. The spa was a disappointment: the water in the heated pool and jacuzzi was cold and the sauna wasn't working properly. The staff, although very polite, wasn't super nice.

Just enjoyed all the time that i spent on the Hotel, great food, good care on reception. And a very good place to have a calm weekend. The cleaning was good. The only thing that i didnt like was the fact that i ask for a couple's bed and they gave me a double bed. But in overall is a good hotel.

a large impressive building, once a seminar and jail in different times, with nice rooms (most of them) some with top views of Larouco Mountain, well equipped and ecofriendly. Staff ranging from very nice to not nice at all, food was disgusting on a couple of meals but improved enormously after a complaint to the local managung director and became quite acceptable for the price negotiated for a large convention group. Reception desk and mini bar service was very good, room service super friendly. Smoking places spread throughout the hotel for oldtimers politically incorrect smokers such as myself, but not affecting non-smokers (the vast majority of our grouyp)
