Excellent hotel in the middle of the mountain. Absolute Sossego but only 5 minutes from Mondim de Basto. Excellent reception and sympathy.

We loved our stay at Agua Hotels Mondim de Basto. Honestly, it is difficult to point out any negative aspects, as the experience was excellent from beginning to end. We want to highlight the sympathy and professionalism of the entire team, especially from Marisa, Cristiano, Nuno, who accompanied us during the dinners, and Mr. Mario at the reception. They were always extremely attentive and contributed a lot to make us feel well received. It is a very well prepared hotel for families with children. There is a great concern in providing a good experience to the youngest, with a children's playground, a children's pool and various spaces where they can play safely. We chose the half pension scheme and we were quite satisfied. The breakfast is very complete and varied. At dinner, despite being on the card, the service was always quick and unexpected. The menu included entry, main dish and dessert, even for the children who did not pay, which we considered an excellent offer. The room was very well equipped, including a travel crib for our baby. The beds were comfortable and we also had a nice balcony with table and two loungers, perfect to relax and enjoy the view. The cleanliness was irreproachable throughout the stay. The employees responsible for the daily cleaning were always very friendly and careful. The outdoor areas are one of the great strengths of the hotel. There are two outdoor pools surrounded by lawn, with many loungers available, plus a fairly large children's park that includes a sandy area. The famous baloiço overlooking the mountain is also a very beautiful place to enjoy the landscape. In the interior, the hotel also has two pools and a jacuzzi, ideal to enjoy regardless of the weather. If I had to mention a less positive aspect, it would be the fact that children can only use the indoor pool until 18:00. We perfectly understand the intention of providing more peaceful moments for the rest of the guests, but for those travelling with family it can be a limitation, especially on days of bad weather. Still, it was an experience that exceeded our expectations. We left with the desire to return and will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The service also deserves recognition for sympathy and professionalism, always with attention to detail. It is one of those places where time passes the slowest and where you can really rest. Ideal for both a romantic getaway and a few days of rest and tranquility. An experience that leaves a desire to return.
