House Of Dracula

I do not recommend this hotel at all. It has a huge lack of cleanliness, in fact we stayed two days and did not clean bathroom or room all the time. The duvet of the bed was 1 meter wide, when the bed was 1.35 and, supposedly, for two people, so we could not cover both. One of the windows (garret type) was broken and you had to climb up to the bed to open and close it. To take the bags to the third floor, there was no elevator, not because it did not work, it is that there was no elevator to either the second or the third floor, so you had to carry the bags down the staircase. There was no 24-hour front desk, so if there were any problems you had to call a phone that you were left signed up for. You can’t leave the hotel for a walk at night because we were warned that there were bears and it was dangerous, and to always go out by car. Anyway, an unpleasant experience. The decor of the hotel is what I thought best.

This hotel advises that they offer a ‘unique’ experience and they are certainly correct there.We arrived during the day and waited what seemed an interminable time ( but was probably only 10 minutes for any sign of life at reception. ( I can only assume that, like Dracula. They also sleep during the day.) Hauling cases up 3 flights of stairs not so much fun. No AC in rooms, thin sheets, stained carpet on floors and on tablecloths in dining area. No restaurant except for breakfast and bar not open at all while we were there. The only smile we got was from a lady who sss in breakfast room first day and no one to be sen when we checked out. A couple of horrendous photo opportunities to ‘share to instagram if you are keen!

The hotel is a recent building but elevator only goes to first floor and next two floors can only be reached by staircase. The choice for breakfast is very poor. The light in the dining room is very fain most likely to hide that they are not changing the dirty covers over the tables.
