Boavista Hotel & ApartHotel

We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast and an evening meal in the hotel. Breakfast was good, no GF bread or pastry but cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurt and a few cooked options, eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Evening meal was ok as well, duck with orange sauce and roast potatoes was cooked nicely. Most importantly I was confident it was all GF. Hotel itself was very good and staff friendly and would definitely stay again, although unlikely to be in the city again.

Worst experience ever! On a Saturday night (our last night) they held a wedding on the 4th floor while we were accommodated in the 1st floor. You could hear the music in the room and feel the bass through the bed and pillow. Slept all night with headphones on while my fiance slept with a pillow on his head. At 11pm called the reception to understand where the music and all the noise was coming from, when they informed us that there was a wedding being held in the hotel. When I asked until what time it would last they informed that maximum 2 hours, but they have the right to have it last until very late. At 3pm I went to the reception to ask them to do something about the music and the bass, as we didn't sleep all night, and the promised 2 hours long passed, when the guy in reception acted like there was absolutely nothing wrong, saying that they can't even hear the music. When I asked them to come to our floor to see how loud the music is he said that he has problems with hearing and he wouldn't move from his desk or do anything about the music. Really rude and unhelpful, with no empathy at all (they should not be in hospitality) they didn't do anything about the music, completely ignoring our request for quiet in a HOTEL where you go to sleep and not party in a club. The music lasted until 4:30 am in the morning. Will never return and will never recommend to anyone!

We slept only one night in this hotel, we will definitely never return. The carpet is dirty, with stains, as are the bed linens. The bathroom should be renovated. I don't understand how this hotel has 4 stars, it looks much worse than in the pictures. The breakfast is poor. The girl at the reception was kind.
