I stay in the yuzhniy apartment hotel.. It's a Great place.. Very nice conformable with fully furnished and has a kitchen.. Excellent location.. Clean and modern.. It's the place to stay in volgograd.... Very nice helpful staff..

I stayed in Uzhniy's cheapest room available for two nights. Room is, well... think of a room you would get in London/Munich/Paris/NY for 25$ pp. Do not expect something drastically different here (although all rooms are air-conditioned). One might argue that Krasnodar ain't NY, but I will not continue this path ;) Reception staff is very friendly. WiFi connection (free of charge) was fairly good and had up-time of ~85%. Breakfast is ok, but do expect "buffet a-la Soviet" - I bet you now try to guess what this means. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty but we skipped overly complex food and picked basic pelmeni's, shashlik, etc. Restaurant staff was very helpful and welcoming. Would I stay there again? Traveling alone for business purposes or with my family - definitely not; meeting Krasnodar friends having some fun in an "entertain, reach hotel, know off, wake up, leave" mode - maybe.
