Sleepbox Hotel

We were really looking forward to staying here for 5 nights due to its location and reviews but sadly our booking was cancelled by the hotel 3 days before we arrived. Having a refit aparently? Bit of a pain on the visa front there too! However they did find us other accommodation which was of a lower standard but at a higher price which was eventually reduced to what we should have paid! So dissapointed not to stay there but they did help us out!

I have stayed here several times and would thoroughly recommend it for people who want to stay somewhere central but without paying $15 for a coffee, let alone the room charge! Very well run, safe and superbly well maintained.

I had always wanted to stay at a capsule hotel and this one was perfect: excellent location and a good price. So I stayed there for 4 hours on my arrival to Russia and then at my last night. Maybe that's why I got a registration for my whole Trans-Siberian trip and I didn't have to worry about it. The single capsule is more spacious that I expected. I could keep my backpack under the bed and leave things on the shelf, hangers and in the two big drawers of the bedside table (the small trashcan was in one of them). There was a free bottle of water, ventilation and two types of lights. There was even a translucent panel, so that the cabin was not pitch dark. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi signal was good. The bathrooms are also built as cabins and each has a shower, a tiny toilet and a washbasin (and background music!). Hairdryers and washing machines are outside. Everywhere was clean. Some drawbacks, though. Check-in time is 15:00, which I find very late. You have to pay extra if you want to check in earlier, but if you don't want they will store your luggage. There is no breakfast, kitchen or fridge. Both times I was given a cabin on the four floor, which is the only floor not served by the lift. I recommend this hotel.
