Great hotel, we really liked everything, very comfortable location, everything you need to eat, quite clean, the rooms are cleaned, quite quiet street, there was no problem with anything, for tourism itself, moderate prices, in general everything is good, no complaints

This was the most AWFUL experience we had when we just arrived to St Petersburgh. We booked this "hotel". As you may believe when you look at the pictures it looks fine. What a good photographer must have taken them!!!! What you can do with a camera is unbelievable!!! First of all, we could not find it at all. We were looking for a hotel. No sign of hotel to be seen. The streets in St Petersburg are never ending and we were carrying the luggage. One feels vulnerable as we could not read any sign at all. Eventually, we found it. It was inside an edifice totally derelict and manky. I took pictures I want to publish. The place was awful and smelly, the room eerie with no facilities at all. Eventually we managed to get internet and we book a hotel for the following day as they refuse to give us the deposit. I tried to sleep but the mattress, or whatever that was, was slopping and I kept rolling down to one side of the bed which was tiny...well I could carry on and on and on...and thank goodness we carried a bag with some food as for the breakfast next morning. IT WAS A JOKE...Well if you are on a very, very low budget and you are very young and poor and want cheap adventure, otherwise keep away of this place.

This business advertises on a famous website which is meant for people temporarily renting out bedrooms in their own houses. I like to stay with local people via that website because one has no strict checkin/checkout times, and in the specific example of SPB, if you stay at this stay, you are also charged a city council tax, which is not applicable in other kinds of accommodation (and I was never told). As for the hotel itself, 2 young ladies speak some English, the older staff do not, but are friendly. It's a so-called mini-hotel and the bedrooms have a good size, are reasonably clean and you can use the kitchen and the fridge. Location is 10 min walk from metro station and 2 stops from Nevsky Prospect.
