Stayed overnight, chose by price-quality and location. Expectations and realities were almost the same. Double room is standard on the 4th floor without power, because within 200 meters there is a large quantity of edalen, as they say, for all tastes and wallets. The windows of the room overlooked the courtyard, but since the entire facade is covered by a grid (repair and restoration work is under way), there is nothing to see). Quickly checked in (arrived already in the evening), received cards, took a shower (the room has everything you need) and went for a walk and dinner. Having had a good night's sleep (either good noise insulation or few guests) they left their belongings at the reception and wandered around the city on the Neva... We were happy with everything, the inconvenience was caused by the fact that the entrance to the hotel is located at a public transport stop and had to squeeze with a suitcase through waiting passengers (narrow St. Petersburg sidewalks)). Will we stop next time? And why not!

I really liked it. We were with our grandchildren, they were given a room on the corner, those on 3 sides. Very cozy. Hygiene products were provided, including toothpaste and brushes, towels, and a hairdryer. Iron on the floor. The view is gorgeous. Breakfast is decent. The only negative is that it is a bit noisy in the evening. Downstairs there is a youth party.

Last visit, I stayed in an odd# room (307), but this time, I am across the hall in 306, which is a much larger suite. Even# rooms face rather ugly courtyard, but odd#s are on the main road, which is a bit noisy when you open all 3 of the giant windows, but so much nicer in terms of feeling like you are in a big city, which you are. Now that it's warm, I realize how alive this part of the city is at night. Rubenstein Street, which is directly to the left, is THE restaurant row of St. Petersburg. SO many great choices! And now that it's light until 11pm, I feel like I am in back in Madrid - dinner at 10 or 11 is the norm! Anyway, this room is more comfortable and quieter at night - maybe the walls are thicker? Bathroom is bigger and better, and the sitting area comfortably seats 4 or 5 people. Breakfast is good, if a bit redundant (i;m here 8 days). Great bakery/cafe (8-22) directly across street as well as CHEAP mom & pop kebab rest. Grocery in basement is now a liquor store, so you have to walk a little further to the right on the same side as the hotel to find 2 small grocery stores. Really excellent central location.
